Book review 2025 September: the Whistling ; Rebecca Netley

 

The book "The Whistling" was worth it to read after reading the fourth wing. I needed a book that would pick me up and just be curios about it. No doubt. Rebecca Netley had my attention for reading the whistling, the book that I read for just four days while commuting. I just cannot put the book down. 

Story Summary: Elspeth was hired by a woman named miss Greer to take care of her niece Mary and teach her, Mary was a strange Child and yet while Elspeth takes care of the child despite being mute. She later on finds out about the widos whistle which was used by one of the maid of the House. Later it was found out that the death was due to a jealous lover of one of the maids. And the book finished very inspiringly. Elspeth saw the calm spirits outside the place where the previous nanny was burried also the brother of Mary that they taught involved in witchcrafy later on they found out because of jealousy for the mother of mary ,mrs greer sister that this blackmagic was applied later on they soon foundout that it was due to jealousy. 

The story was interesting and gripping. The writer wrote well and descriptively to make me hooked reading the book each day and i was able to get a satisfying conclusion. Short book summary review will be written on my blog. So far this is my most dark read for 2025 that consist of intrigue and inspiring ending. I would follow this author more.
